"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web". Picasso
"By birth & by choice, I am such a vessel". Thieme

My inspiration is the accumulation of my experiences and observations. The work itself is born out of isolation and demands times of solitude & personal reflection. It speaks of personal experiences and connection to myself. In all my work I am concerned with self-expression. I consistently use shape and color to relate an emotion or idea that is personal to me and universal in nature. Literal or metaphorical, created or perceived, my work is about the nature of my subject, relationships and communicating my experiences. I am as interested in physicality and formal elements of my media as I am the conceptual.
